The University of Kabianga was earlier today closed after students took to the streets to demonstrate for what they termed as unjustifiable fee increment.

In a memo released by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Elijah Omwenga, all the students were instructed to vacate the school premises by 3:30 PM EAT.

The comrades who had just reported back to school were perplexed to learn of the 40% fee increase, something that didn't sit well with them.

As they spoke to the media, the students expressed their displeasure, arguing that it is improper to consider such decisions.

"We are going to unravel the unscrupulous expenditure that is going on in Kabianga," one of them remarked.

Completely irked by the decision, the students who were breathing fire in front of the camera bitterly sought the justification behind the fee hike.

"We are so tired. We are really tired as the comrades of the university of Kabianga. The fee is being hiked and the service delivery is so mediocre. Right now we need them to issue a statement reversing the decision, because we are so tired and we need the services of the university to be of quality," another comrade added.

In what appears to be an assortment of grievances, the university learners complained of tribalism depicted in how students are unequally treated.

Moreover, students lamented that the school administration only serves the interests of the rich in what seems to suggest a possible bias against students' diminished pocket sizes.
